Logo Creation | IM Week 1 - Project 2

After defining the restaurant, and doing thumbnails and roughs for a logo, the final step was to define the official logo in different formats.

After I created my thumbnails, I jumped to Illustrator to digitalize 3 roughs, from those 3, I chose the mascot to be my final logo. I already had the body, which I created using basic shapes and pen tool, after that, I just had to put some more details and adapt it to the different formats. As the mascot is a burger itself, I had to give it the proper and common colors, beige for the buns, yellow for the melted cheese, and brown for the piece of meat. For the clothes, I did a bit more thinking, my options were red or blue, and chose blue for some reasons like it's my favorite color, it combines well with the other colors, and it's a color of trust and calmness. I wanted to use a mascot for my restaurant because not many restaurants have mascots, also, I think it goes well with the relaxed theme of the restaurant. It's a fun but not too cartoony design.
