I Call It Stock Car Boxing | DI Week 2 - Post 2

You might be wondering what is Stock Car Boxing... The answer is simple, is just an idea. An idea of a new sport. The title is from a creative exercise in the book Caffeine for the Creative Minds by Stefan Mumaw and Wendy Lee Oldfield.

As this book provides creative exercises for groups, this exercise can be done with two people and it goes like this, choose one sports-minded participant. You are going to combine two sports to make two new ones. First, each participant should choose a sport that knows and loves. Reveal your sport to one another. The goal is to base your new sport on your original sport with your partner's sport mixed in, and your partner will do the same.

As I was working alone, I just asked a friend to choose a sport and then I chose another one randomly because I've never been much into sports. Archery and swimming are the two sports I combined.

Now I present you, ArcherySwim, a fresh new sport where swimmers equipped with waterproof bows and arrows compete in a specially designed swimming pool with floating targets. The goal is to hit these targets accurately while integrating archery skills and swimming techniques. The scoring system combines elements of swimming and archery, awarding points for accurate hits, style, and technique. ArcherySwim is a dynamic and challenging sport that blends water and archery skills, requiring accuracy, endurance, and marksmanship.
