Plaid Tastes Like Brown and Purple Mixed Together, Huh? | DM Week 2 - Post 2

In the movie Martian Child, an orphan (played by Bobby Coleman), who thinks he's from Mars, pulls off a couple of cool stunts (like changing the lights for parental figure John Cusack as he drives) in the name of Martian Intuition. One of the kid's most outrageous claims (and subsequent proofs) was that he could taste color. John Cusack's character made the boy close his eyes while he fed him various colored M&M's, inviting the boy to reveal what color the candy was each time. The boy called each one correct. As magical as that feat may be, it begs the question:

WHAT DOES COLOR TASTE LIKE?

That's your exercise today. You and a partner have to describe the taste of the following colors, but they can't taste like a fruit (that's too easy). Define in words or pictures what each color tastes like.
  1. Red: blood.
  2. Blue: salty water.
  3. Green: grass, mint.
  4. Purple: pie.
  5. Yellow: honey.
  6. Orange: sun rays.
  7. Brown: earth, dirt.
  8. Black: coal.
  9. White: plain water, cotton.
